I was approached by the wonderful folks at City University of New York's Research Institute for the Study of Language in Urban Society to illustrate a collection of scenes from everyday life from Ukraine and West Africa.

These visuals were utilized in a grant-run project for students, recent immigrants, and refugees who had experienced gaps in learning. Students were evaluated on their language comprehension skills using simple yet eye-catching images that were displayed next to multiple choice questions. These were so much fun to illustrate!
